This project was initiated by OME (Organización Mexicana de Enófilos) and ART OUS, with the collaboration of the Regional Museum of Guadalajara, CENTRO 10 (Artists of Central Mexico) and other private as well as public organisms and institutions interested in contributing to the socio-cultural development of Mexico, promoting creativity in the form of art with regard the culture surrounding wine. The 1st INTERNATIONAL BIENNAL EXHIBITION OF PAINTING WITH WINE requires the participation and collaboration of institutions, organisms and companies both national and international, that agree with and visualize the importance and contemporary aspect of this project.

            Promoting and spreading the culture of wine through worldwide artistic activity will fulfill the socio-cultural objectives of this project.  Today’s artist is not confined to geographical boundaries and upon expressing his art he posses all nationalities.

            During Wine Fest 2007, a statewide contest among young artists using wine as a medium was held and the producers of Italian wine supported and sponsored this project. In the 1st INTERNATIONAL BIENNAL EXHIBITION OF PAINTING WITH WINE, the guest wines will be from Argentina, Chile and Uruguay.
